hectic-ness!!!!!!!!

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Feeling soo stressed because EVERYTHING seems to be going so fast!!! There is just NOT enough time in the day for me to do anything right now, at least that's how it feels!!! So much is going on right now between all the planning and preparing for our baby shower, then my blogs (which I have been seriously lacking on due to just not having enough time in my days), then having like no time with my family and generally now when I do actualy have some time with them, I can't really enjoy it because I am too busy worrying about other things or im just too tired or too stressed to sit back and enjoy things....
I imagine things will calm down after the baby shower, I just want to make sure it's something special for all of us involved!!!! For me, it's more of a family thing and I want everyone to have a great time, and a special day!!! I'm sure that ultimately It will be fine, I just worry about everything!!! LOL
ahhhhhh I laughed, it feels like I haven't done that too much lately!!! ;) I'm already starting to feel better, I guess I just needed to vent a lil....
On a positive note, everything is going great with the pregnancy-I'm almost 26 weeks along now, and I'm getting bigger and I love it!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by, and that in a few more months I'll be meeting my second son!!!!! I'm totally excited, and anxious :D
Another great thing is I got a Blackberry cell phone and I love it!!! It's great!
Nickolas is doing good, his attitude and behaviour lately has been a lil out of sorts, but it's much better now. He is such a great kid, I am so blessed to have him :)

Anyways i gotta get back into reality for now, I got lots and lots to do before tomorrow(friday)/ Saturday!!!!!!

What a faboulous day!!!

So I woke up this morning to find that I won a contest from Mashala Baby Organics !!!
This is my 2nd contest win, so I am really excited!!! :D Anywho, I won an Organic Start baby Massage Oils Set , which is going to be GREAT to use once lil Jaicyn is born :) !!!
The BEST part of my contest win, is the fact that I came up with a brilliant idea, and I acted on it!!
I thought to myself, "this would be a PERFECT giveaway, a great start to doing my own contests/giveaways!!" Now, of course I really didn't want to have to give away the set I won, so I thought I'd ask the folks at Mashala if they would kindly take a look at my Contest blog and maybe donate an extra Oils Set, or something/anything I could giveaway to a lucky someone, and they said "YES"!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D
This is a HUGE thing for me as I am not the type to just ask people let alone, companies for things--in fact, I'm quite the shy person--BUT something today jsut gave me the faith and courage to just simply ASK. The worst that was going to happen was that they said "no" and I had kept telling myself that.
SOOOOOOOO this means now that I will have my very own 1st Giveaway -- Sooner than I ever imagined, AND my dream of being able to actually HAVE a contest/giveaway is starting to take flight!! :)
And these generous people are SOOOOOOOO nice that they even threw in not one, but TWO of their Infant Massage Door Pillows (one for me to keep, and one for the lucky winner!!)

Change Happens

Well instead of having my contest blogging stuff mixed with my personal stories, I decided it was best to separate the two and creat a new blog solely for contests and freebies available in Canada/for Canadians... You can find my Canadian Contest blog right here.

So now this will be a blog just for me and my stories :D

As we get older, we become wiser (well MOST of us anyways!! lol). As I get older, I realize that change is inevitable, happens whether we like it to or not, and is something you might as well get used to. I remember being a young child, and HATING anything that had to do with change... but now, I find myself usually embracing it and trying to get the best out of it.
What happened?? Well I imagine that I have finally accepted that it is what it is.

Then I look at my 6 year old son who is going through alot of changes in his life (new house, new school, new brother coming into his life) and I never see him having any problems adjusting to the changes all around him...It truly amazes me that unlike his mommy, he has no problems with change. It's definately a good thing, and I'm happy that he adjusts so well into situations.
Perfect example, he just started grade 1 at a new school where he knew nobody...my boy walked right into that school looking forward to whatever was about to come his way.. and ultimately, he succeeded with flying colours!! He came out that first day with a whole classroom of new friends and was happier than I thought he would be.

Anyways gotta finish cooking and doing some laundry!!!!

Time to get started!!!!

So first things first, since I last wrote, I had my 20 week ultrasound and we found out that we are having a BOY!!!! Yep, so that's 2 sons for me now, and I'm really excited!!!
Plus my lil man Nick started grade 1, and he LOVES it!!! I couldn't be happier, everything is going along great!!! :D

Now to the "business" aspect of things, I feel like such a newbie to the blogging world, but I refuse to give up!!! I know I am capable of accomplishing my dreams, and I will within time.. I hate how much time it takes to get to where I want to be, but if I keep on working at it, eventually I will see the results I'm ultimately looking for.

In my journey so far, I've discovered MANY great sites that I feel deserve recognition.
For contests, http://www.contestgirl.com is my absolute favourite!!! I visit the site everyday, and I always find good contests and giveaways to enter!!! If you haven't visited the site yet, I suggest that you do, it's great!!

I've been finding Blogs to be a great place to find giveaways from women that seem to have the same dream I do, which is to write about family you love, write reviews on products you love, and lastly, have great things to giveaway to others!!! I can't wait until one day, where I am in a position to do such, which is going to be sooner rather than later!!!! :D

While I haven't written much about anything so far, It's because I've been a busybee trying to make my blog look great!!! Adding links to all my favourite sites, and my favourite blogs...it really can be time-consuming!! lol

Anyways, soon enough I will be the ultimate blogger with a blog to be proud of one day..for now, it's me working up to it!!

Introductions

Ok, so my name is Corie and I am a 23 year old mom to an amazing 6 year old boy named Nick, and I am currently 20 weeks (today!!:) with my second child. I dont know if it's a girl or boy yet, but I can't wait to find out!!(September 3rd is my next ultrasound, so I'm hoping I will find out then!)

I am with the love of my life, Jai--he is not the father of my son, but has been there for him and I since day 1. He is an awesome guy, and he really means the world to me!! We are very excited for the birth of our child together, Baby J is the nickname for now--due Jan 2009.

Family is and always has been the most important thing to me. I couldn't live if I didn't have my family by my side.

As for myself, I would say that Im an easy-going, lovable and caring person. Not selfish, inconsiderate or hateful, in fact, quite the opposite!! LOL

Other than that, I live in Toronto Ontario, was born and raised here for the most part, and I'm proud to be a Canadian! :)

Starting From Scratch

Hello!!

Today is a special day for me as I am finally trying to do something about my hopes and dreams!

Ive been a parent now since I was 17(almost 7 years of experience now!!) and Ive learned alot and been through alot over the years, but throughout the years there is always one thing that keeps me going, and i'm sure you fellow parents will agree when I say that it is my child. My son, my life, my everything. Everything I do, is for him, and for the last 6 years now all I've focused on is my boy.
But now my lil man is headed to school full-time, I am currently pregnant with Baby #2 and I have quite a bit of free time on my hands... so it got me to thinking about what I've wanted to do for years now which is create a blog/and-or website that appeals to other parents out there, that is a place for people to come for some good reading and laughs...a place where I can share my everyday life stories and just about anything else I end up coming up with !! LOL
In return, I hope that my blog will end up being known by others and well liked :) I have a dream, and today is just the beginning of realizing it all!!!
Starting from scratch is what today entails, where i set up my account and write my first blog (yay for this first blog!!! :), and cross my fingers for a bigger and brighter future in blogging!!
